Medicare in Canada

Medicare in Canada is a Health Insurance which is publicly funded as provided for by the Canada Health Act. This Act allows all residents of Canada to be eligible for "insured services", that is, medical services provided in a hospital or by medical practioners. According to Wikipedia, 70% of Canadian health expenditures come from public sources, with the rest paid privately through private insurance and individuals.
